Battling the Summer Heat!
Summer conditions vary from location to location. There are places where summer is hot and dry, other places it's hot and humid. Here in the Philippines, the latter applies. Even if you are shaded, you still feel hot and sticky because of high humidity levels.
If you've got money to spare, an air conditioner would work wonders for a room! It takes hot air from a room, refrigerates it, and releases cold air back into the room. This, however, can be very costly as it consumes a lot of electricity.
If you're on a budget, an electric fan will do. Placement of electric fans are important so that air circulation is even within a room. Make sure to open all windows so that air could freely go in and out of your home. Most importantly, drink plenty of liquids. Maybe even take a couple of showers.
