Crippled Internet = Picture Picture!

Posted on the August 14th, 2009 under quickies by rayland

Busy busy busy! I have always been busy with work.. But a couple of days ago, I got a chance to take some time away from work.. Segment 7 of the APCN2 undersea cable suffered a serious cable fault and crippled our internet speeds… I could not work properly. Pages took forever to load; some even timed out. :(

I had some spare time on my hands so i took some pics of flowers in the yard..

I also posted some in my photoblog so check them out as well.. http://www.rdjastudios.com

Battling the Summer Heat!

Posted on the May 29th, 2009 under ramblings by rayland

Summer conditions vary from location to location. There are places where summer is hot and dry, other places it’s hot and humid. Here in the Philippines, the latter applies. Even if you are shaded, you still feel hot and sticky because of high humidity levels.

If you’ve got money to spare, an air conditioner would work wonders for a room! It takes hot air from a room, refrigerates it, and releases cold air back into the room. This, however, can be very costly as it consumes a lot of electricity.

If you’re on a budget, an electric fan will do. Placement of electric fans are important so that air circulation is even within a room. Make sure to open all windows so that air could freely go in and out of your home. Most importantly, drink plenty of liquids. Maybe even take a couple of showers.

Saturday, April 25, 2009. My little brother, Raynard, graduated from UPLB with a B.S. degree in Computer Science.. There were more than a thousand graduates this year, and boy was Freedom Park packed with people. Not only that, it was pouring rain throughout the ceremony.. :)

That was nothing! It couldn’t stop the ceremony… “The show must go on!” Congratulations to all the graduates! The corporate world awaits you.. :)
